The recent V6 model enhances image realism and prompt sensitivity, contributing to a notable increase of 2.86 million users between November 2023 and March 2024. The majority of users, around 68%, engage with Midjourney for fun, while 32% use it for practical purposes. Gender demographics indicate 59.92% are male and 40.08% are female, with a significant portion (37%) aged 25-34. Despite fluctuations, daily active users range between 1.2 and 2.5 million. Midjourney generated $50 million in its first year, reaching an estimated revenue of $300 million by 2024, primarily through subscriptions. Impressively, it relies on user-driven marketing, achieving substantial growth while investing zero in traditional advertising. With sustained momentum, it’s projected to grow alongside the burgeoning generative AI art market.
