A recent report reveals that digital advertising is a powerful growth engine for India’s Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), enhancing visibility and delivering measurable returns. The study indicates a significant shift in the SMB sector towards data-driven marketing and diversified strategies across platforms. Notably, over 65% of SMBs utilize multiple ad formats, and 90% actively track campaign performance. The widespread adoption of AI has streamlined operations, enabling smarter targeting and fraud detection. However, challenges persist, such as limited budgets, a lack of specialized talent, and overwhelming advertising choices, which hinder full potential. Over 70% of SMBs find the diverse platform landscape daunting, highlighting the need for accessible guidance. Sunita Mohanty, Managing Director of Primus Partners, emphasizes the importance of digital advertising as an equalizer, allowing SMBs to compete with larger brands and tap into both national and global markets.
