Google I/O Connect India 2025 Highlights AI Innovations for Indian Developers
Hyderabad: Google held the I/O Connect India 2025 event in Bengaluru, introducing new AI-powered tools tailored for the Indian developer ecosystem. Eight Indian startups, including Sarvam, CoRover, and Nykaa, showcased innovative applications using Google’s Gemini and Gemma 3 models. Sarvam debuted its open-source translation tool, Sarvam-Translate, which efficiently translates long-form content across all 22 Indian languages, handling over 100,000 weekly requests. CoRover developed customizable multilingual chatbots with 99% accuracy using Gemini, while Glance integrated AI to enhance user experiences in commerce. Entri’s AI Teacher Assistant and Interview Coach tools leveraged Gemini for real-time support in native languages. Invideo, employing Imagen and Veo technologies, generates diverse video content for users. Nykaa adopted Gemini for enhanced visual product searches, and Dashverse launched AI platforms for creating comics and videos, attracting millions of users. Toonsutra utilized Gemini to produce engaging Indian-language webcomics. This event highlights the rapid evolution of AI within the Indian startup landscape.
