According to Appfigures, Claude surpassed ChatGPT in U.S. app downloads, boasting 149,000 downloads versus ChatGPT’s 124,000 on March 2. Daily active users also saw a notable rise, reaching 11.3 million—a staggering 183% increase since early 2023. Claude’s rise positions it ahead of competitors like Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, although it remains significantly behind ChatGPT’s dominant 250.5 million users.
