Adobe has introduced innovative conversational AI features in Photoshop and Firefly, enhancing image creation and editing through chat-style prompts. The AI Assistant in Photoshop, currently in public beta for web and mobile, allows users to execute common editing tasks—such as background removal and lighting adjustments—via natural language or voice commands. This functionality promotes efficiency for students and marketing teams. Additionally, the AI Markup tool enables users to draw directly on images and apply specific edits based on text prompts.
The updated Firefly Image Editor now consolidates tools, allowing users to perform generative edits like adding or removing elements and adjusting sizes seamlessly through text commands. With over 25 AI image models available, Firefly positions itself as a robust hub for image generation. Adobe’s changes also include unlimited AI generations for Firefly customers and limited access for free users, making these conversational AI capabilities accessible to creators of all levels.
