Adobe has launched a new AI assistant for Photoshop, currently in public beta for web and mobile applications. Paid users enjoy unlimited generations until April 9, while free users can access 20 free generations. The AI assistant simplifies complex edits through text or voice commands, allowing users to remove distractions, change backgrounds, or refine lighting. Notably, it offers two interaction modes: automatic edits and guided step-by-step assistance for learning. Photoshop web users can utilize the new AI Markup feature to draw on images and attach text prompts for specific edits.
Additionally, Adobe has upgraded its Firefly Image Editor, enhancing its capabilities with features like Generative Fill, Remove, Expand, and Upscale. Users can adjust image composition using a selection of over 25 AI models, including Adobe’s own and models from Google and OpenAI. These updates allow seamless editing while maintaining creative flow, reinforcing Adobe’s commitment to innovation in digital design.
