AI Agents Can Now Execute Transactions on MetaMask Securely Without Accessing Private Keys, According to CoinFello

CoinFello has launched a groundbreaking OpenClaw skill that enhances security for AI agents dealing with cryptocurrencies. This new open-source feature enables MoltBots—CoinFello’s personal AI agents—to interact securely with MetaMask, executing on-chain transactions without accessing user private keys. Utilizing the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit, the skill implements ERC-4337 smart accounts and ERC-7710 delegations, significantly mitigating vulnerabilities common in AI agent wallets that typically involve direct key access. CoinFello’s CEO, Jacob C., highlights the urgent need for improved security protocols, making the case for better permission models to protect users’ assets. The launch supports various transactions, including ERC-20 token swaps, NFT interactions, and multi-step trading strategies, all initiated via natural-language commands. This proactive approach follows a surge in the OpenClaw ecosystem, notably driven by the AI-only platform Moltbook, recently acquired by Meta. The skill is released under the MIT license, emphasizing CoinFello’s commitment to secure, user-friendly AI solutions.
