Google is enhancing its Google Classroom suite by granting users under 18 access to over 30 AI tools, including NotebookLM. Designed for educators with a Google Workspace account, the new Gemini tab facilitates lesson planning, math problems, and email writing. An Analytics tab will enable teachers to monitor student performance and track progress on assignments. Education Plus subscribers can access additional features like Gemini audio lessons. NotebookLM, launching soon, will help students create podcasts and interactive study guides. Teachers can develop custom mini agents, called Gems, to assist students with specific topics. Other upcoming tools include Google Vids for generative AI video creation, making instructional content more engaging. The Class Tools feature also allows teachers to manage student Chromebooks effectively, sharing videos and content. These enhancements aim to enrich the educational experience and support innovative teaching methods. Stay tuned for more updates as these tools roll out.
