Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore will grant all undergraduates full access to Google AI tools, including Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI, starting August 2026. This initiative aims to weave AI into the curriculum, increasing AI-integrated courses from 5% to 40% by 2030. As the first university in Singapore to adopt AI in education at this scale, NTU offers students computing credits to build and deploy AI agents for academic purposes, enhancing their productivity post-graduation. Half of the AI-embedded courses will focus on personalized learning, while the other half will involve practical problem-solving with AI. NTU’s AI Learning Assistant platform will enable educators to create AI tutors, helping students overcome learning gaps. Through this innovative approach, NTU aims to produce competitive graduates capable of continuous learning and effective collaboration with AI tools, equipping them for challenges in industry and society.
