Adobe is enhancing its agentic AI capabilities through a new partnership with AI developer Anthropic. Announced recently, Adobe introduced the Firefly AI assistant, a pivotal tool integrated across Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop, Acrobat, and Premiere Pro. This new agentic assistant can autonomously edit photos, adjusting lighting and cropping with minimal human input, effectively combining modern AI with traditional editing techniques. Adobe has previously integrated AI assistants in Adobe Express and Photoshop, and this collaboration expands creative possibilities for Anthropic’s Claude app, marking its first major creative AI tool. The Firefly assistant aims to streamline the creative process by connecting directly with third-party platforms, allowing creators to conceptualize and execute projects seamlessly. Upcoming features for Firefly include enhanced audio options for video editing and upgrades to its image editing suite. A public beta for the assistant is set to launch soon, with additional updates and integrations on the horizon.
