Google Unveils AI-Powered Ad Tools to Enhance Discovery and Retention on Search and YouTube

At Google Marketing Live India 2025, Google introduced a robust suite of AI-driven advertising tools designed for engaging the sophisticated Indian consumer. With 80% of Gen Z using Google Search for purchasing decisions and 87% discovering products on Google and YouTube, these platforms are evolving into full-funnel marketing ecosystems. Key announcements included ads integrated into AI Overviews—generative search summaries—and enhanced Shoppable CTV features on YouTube, allowing for QR codes and “send to phone” capabilities, turning passive viewing into interactive shopping. Additionally, the ‘Generated for You’ tool in Product Studio automates visual and video creation, reducing production time while maintaining quality. AI Max for Search Campaigns aims to improve conversions through advanced targeting, and a new Retention Only Mode in Performance Max focuses on re-engaging key customers. Google is also implementing agentic AI capabilities to streamline campaign management and introduced updates to Google Analytics for better measurement of video ad impacts, empowering marketers with AI solutions to drive growth.
