HR Embraces ‘Retro’ Approaches Amid AI Résumé Boom

Employers are increasingly cautious about AI-generated résumés, according to Tim Manasseh of Korn Ferry. A recent Remote Recruiting Report highlights that 25% of employers are overwhelmed by applicant volume, spending an average of 9.24 days sorting through irrelevant applications. Alarmingly, 73% of employers report receiving AI-generated résumés with false information, while 65% see an influx of underqualified candidates. To combat these challenges, 25% of HR leaders are implementing AI tools to enhance the recruitment process. Job van der Voort, CEO of Remote, emphasizes the importance of using AI strategically to streamline hiring, verify candidates’ skills, and efficiently connect with top talent. This shift towards integrating AI in recruitment aims to reduce hiring noise and improve candidate selection, making it essential for companies to adapt their strategies in today’s competitive job market. Leveraging AI responsibly can help organizations navigate the complexities of modern recruitment while attracting qualified applicants.
