DOGE Unveils Tailored AI Model for Regulatory ‘Delete’ List Compliance

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to significantly reduce federal regulations, aiming for a 50% decrease by President Trump’s inauguration anniversary, according to a Washington Post report. DOGE has introduced the “DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool,” designed to evaluate around 200,000 federal regulations for potential elimination. Estimates suggest that approximately 100,000 rules could be cut, potentially saving the U.S. trillions through lowered compliance costs and budget reductions. The AI tool has already assessed over 1,000 regulatory sections within two weeks at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and has fully handled deregulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This initiative aligns with the Trump administration’s broader strategy to integrate AI in government, outlined in the “America’s AI Action Plan,” which emphasizes deregulation, infrastructure investments, and promoting American values in AI systems. This development highlights the administration’s commitment to leading in the global AI landscape.
