A care-based approach prioritizes individual student needs over strict rule compliance, ensuring AI aids rather than hinders intellectual growth. For instance, AI can support students with learning disabilities, while for others, it may bypass essential learning struggles. Educators must carefully decide when to use AI, understanding that its role should enhance intellectual labor, not replace it. This shift in focus—from merely controlling AI usage to fostering a culture of meaningful learning—can transform education into a richer, more engaging experience, framing AI as a facilitator of deeper understanding.
