Samsung, India’s leading consumer electronics brand, has launched the Galaxy Empowered initiative in Mumbai to revolutionize education by enhancing teacher skills with digital tools and teaching methods. Following a successful introduction in New Delhi, this program aims to support 20,000 educators by 2025, starting with over 350 teachers from 250 schools in Maharashtra and nearby regions. Notable attendees included Maharashtra’s Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and education leaders from CBSE and UNESCO, who emphasized the initiative’s alignment with global educational goals. Galaxy Empowered focuses on three key pillars: AI and technology upskilling, experiential learning with certification, and peer networking. The program offers workshops, mentorship, and exclusive Samsung device offers, helping educators integrate AI into classrooms for enhanced student engagement. Raju Pullan, Senior VP of Samsung India, highlighted that this initiative marks a significant step towards creating future-ready educational environments, embodying a movement toward innovative learning.
