Law firms, under pressure to showcase AI usage, often highlight irrelevant use cases to in-house teams, hindering effective adoption. In-house teams typically need AI for smaller tasks, unlike the large-scale applications favored by law firms. To enhance AI understanding, in-house teams should familiarize themselves with available tools and consider process reviews to identify efficiency gains. Collaboration with law firms can aid in developing policies that ensure ethical and effective AI usage. As AI adoption grows, legal departments must navigate associated risks while recognizing AI’s potential benefits for their operations.
