Google is enhancing user experience with a new feature in the Gemini app called “scheduled actions.” This functionality enables users to set the assistant to perform specific tasks at designated times or on a recurring basis. Currently available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as well as select Google Workspace users, this update aims to improve daily productivity.
One key highlight is its cross-platform capability, allowing iPhone users to access it as long as they have a valid subscription. Scheduled actions make Gemini more proactive, managing tasks such as providing calendar updates or offering new blog ideas without requiring user initiation. Activation is straightforward—users can request tasks for specific times or convert existing prompts into recurring actions through the app’s settings. This enhancement marks a significant step in transforming Gemini from a reactive tool to a helpful daily companion, streamlining various routines whether for work or personal organization.
