Siddharth Nandyala, a 14-year-old prodigy from Andhra Pradesh, has created Circadian AI, an innovative app that detects early signs of heart failure within seven seconds using a smartphone’s microphone. The app records heart sounds and uses machine learning to identify arrhythmias, irregular heartbeats, and other heart issues with over 96% accuracy in trials involving nearly 19,000 patients. Siddharth’s motivation is to make a meaningful impact on healthcare, emphasizing that even one detected condition can save a life. He has received recognition from Andhra Pradesh leaders, including Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who pledged support for his work. Currently a freshman studying computer science, Siddharth aims to further develop the app to detect lung illnesses. His goal is to inspire future inventors, showcasing his belief in creating a legacy of innovation that benefits society. Circadian AI could transform early diagnosis, particularly in areas with limited medical access.
