Dr. Pramod Sawant Unveils AI-Powered Tools by Goa Police to Tackle Radicalism and Cybercrime

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant recently launched two AI-powered tools by the Goa Police, developed with BITS Pilani Goa Campus, aimed at enhancing public safety. The tools, Radical Content Analyzer and Spot the Scam, focus on detecting radical content and preventing cybercrime. The Radical Content Analyzer utilizes AI to analyze videos for extremist material, while Spot the Scam examines websites and APK files for scams and security threats, bolstering online protection for citizens. The launch event featured senior police officials, including DGP Goa, Shri Alok Kumar. Dr. Sawant commended the collaboration between the Goa Police and BITS Pilani, underscoring the state’s commitment to using technology to combat radicalization and cyber threats. This initiative reflects Goa’s proactive stance on emerging security challenges and its dedication to fostering a safer online community for its residents.
