OpenAI has launched a new feature called Pulse, designed to provide personalized updates to users based on their chat history and connected apps like Gmail and Calendar. Each night, Pulse reviews user interactions to generate tailored reports for the following day. These updates may include reminders, dinner ideas, or action items for long-term goals such as triathlon training. Users benefit from additional context by linking their calendars, receiving agendas or gift reminders, and can easily customize their information preferences through the “curate” option. Feedback can be given via thumbs up or down, with the ability to delete feedback history. CEO Sam Altman emphasized that the more users share their preferences, the better Pulse can serve as a proactive personal assistant. Currently available for Pro subscribers, Pulse will soon roll out to Plus subscribers as well. This feature enhances user experience by providing relevant suggestions throughout the day.
