A recent UserTesting survey reveals that one-third of consumers plan to leverage AI for holiday shopping this year. Conducted among 4,000 participants across the U.S., U.K., and Australia, it indicates that shoppers intend to use AI for gift ideas, price comparisons, and deal evaluations. Millennials and Gen Z are particularly receptive, with 56% and 50% respectively expressing interest in AI integration. However, concerns about data privacy and a lack of personal interaction remain prevalent. Despite skepticism, many view AI as a transformative tool; 81% of Gen Z believe it will revolutionize shopping within three years. Additional reports echo this sentiment, with 70% open to generative AI assistance. Contrastingly, other surveys suggest that actual adoption rates may be lower, with only 12% expecting to utilize AI for holiday purchases. Retailers are also harnessing AI to adapt to changing trade policies as the holiday season approaches, underscoring the technology’s growing impact.
