Google has initiated the rollout of Gemini for Home for Google Home users participating in the early access program. This new feature, announced recently, includes functionalities like Ask Home, enabling users to query their devices and video history using natural language. Gemini will also provide AI-generated notifications and summaries through the Home Brief feature. Interested users must join the early access program via the Google Home app (version 4.0+), navigating to Settings > Early Access. It’s crucial to note that this program is separate from the public preview. Starting October 1, Gemini is available for cameras and doorbells in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland, with broader smart speaker and display rollouts expected later this month, and expansions to more countries anticipated by early 2026.
