Siwei Lyu, from the University at Buffalo’s Center for Information Integrity, emphasizes that the quality of these videos is significantly advanced compared to earlier generations. However, the rise of this generative video technology introduces heightened risks of misinformation and manipulation online. Lyu encourages all social media users to approach digital content with skepticism. While OpenAI hasn’t released a full version of Sora 2, its limited availability is already making waves in the Apple App Store.
