Google Launches Opal AI App Builder in India and 14 Additional Countries

Google has launched its experimental AI app-building tool, Opal, in 15 new countries, including India, Japan, and Brazil, following its initial debut in the U.S. in July. Opal allows users to create web-based mini-applications simply by describing their ideas in natural language. Early users have crafted everything from simple tools to complex applications, prompting Google to expand its offerings globally. The platform features a visual editor for adjusting app elements and includes a new debugging feature that helps users refine their workflows without coding. This upgrade enhances Opal’s performance, speeding up generation times and permitting simultaneous processes for complex tasks. With this rollout, Google aims to democratize app development, enabling both technical and non-technical users to transform their ideas into functioning apps effortlessly. Opal joins a growing suite of no-code platforms like Canva and Figma, emphasizing simplicity and accessibility in digital tool creation.
