Samsung is expanding its Galaxy AI ecosystem with the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, potentially making exclusive AI features available globally. Previously limited to China, tools like the AI-powered Meeting Assistant, Touch Assistant, Smart Clipboard, and Social Composer are set for a worldwide launch. These features utilize generative AI to enhance everyday tasks: Meeting Assistant translates dialogue in real-time, while Touch Assistant provides instant translations and summaries from on-screen text. Smart Clipboard suggests actions for copied content, and Social Composer generates posts or reviews from images. The One UI 8.5 update is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, with older Galaxy models receiving the update shortly after. Beta programs for the update may begin in late November, offering early access to users with Galaxy S25, S24 series, and recent foldables. This expansion solidifies Samsung’s commitment to improving user experience and integrating advanced AI technology.
