Davidovs Venture Collective (DVC), a pioneering VC firm, has transitioned to an AI-driven investment strategy by eliminating traditional analyst roles to optimize deal sourcing and evaluation. Co-founded by Marina and Nick Davidov, DVC has launched a $75 million fund targeted at Series A and B AI startups, leveraging a robust network of 170 limited partners (LPs) from industry giants like OpenAI, Google, and Tesla. These LPs utilize AI tools for deal memos, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring while providing invaluable support to founders. Notably, DVC’s innovative approach enables it to attract top-tier talent that would typically demand high salaries, offering carried interest instead. Despite AI’s efficiencies, Davidova emphasizes the importance of human insight in evaluating founder characteristics. Since its inception in 2021, DVC has invested $21 million in 120 companies, including notable startups like Perplexity. The firm is also onboarding additional partners to enhance its operational capabilities.
