UP Government Enhances Forest Police Operations with IT and AI for Wildlife Conservation and Forest Management

The Uttar Pradesh government has initiated a transformative action plan to modernize its forest police force through the integration of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to enhance forest conservation, management, and combat wildlife crimes with sophisticated monitoring and real-time data analysis. The Forest and Wildlife Department plans to equip forest police with advanced technologies, including sensor-based surveillance cameras, GPS devices, drones, GIS mapping, and satellite imaging. A centralized command center will enable real-time monitoring of forest areas, tiger reserves, and national parks, facilitating rapid responses to illegal activities, wildlife smuggling, and conflicts.
