Cribl Enhances AI Features with Notebooks, BYOAI, and Standalone MCP Server — Virtualization Review

Cribl has enhanced its AI capabilities for IT and security teams with the introduction of Cribl Notebooks, a Bring Your Own AI (BYOAI) feature, and a standalone Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Aiming to make telemetry infrastructure “AI-ready,” these additions facilitate streamlined data management and analysis. Cribl Notebooks, integrated with Cribl Search, enables analysts to consolidate workflows, reduce investigation times from hours to minutes, and minimize context switching.

The BYOAI capability allows organizations to connect preferred AI models like OpenAI and Azure OpenAI while maintaining governance over their AI infrastructure. Additionally, the standalone MCP server supports tight integration with external AI agents in a cloud-native environment, positioning Cribl as an adaptive solution for emerging AI workloads. CEO Clint Sharp emphasized the need for an “AI-first architecture” that efficiently supports human and agentic data interactions. These innovations empower enterprises to modernize observability and security operations as AI adoption accelerates.
