IndiaAI Mission and WHO Collaborate to Highlight AI Innovations in Healthcare

The IndiaAI Mission, in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), has launched a global call for abstracts emphasizing impactful applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in health systems. Researchers and institutions from the Global South are encouraged to submit abstracts (up to 250 words) by October 31, showcasing successful AI health use cases. Shortlisted submissions will contribute to the “Casebook on AI Health Use Cases Across the Global South,” debuting at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. This casebook aims to guide policymakers and innovators by documenting real-world AI implementations, promoting responsible AI adoption, and accelerating digital transformation in healthcare. Selected contributors will detail their AI solutions in full chapters (2,500-3,000 words), focusing on deployment strategies, ethical considerations, and lessons learned. Additionally, five projects have been chosen to enhance “Safe and Trusted AI” practices in India, focusing on deepfake detection, forensic analysis, and bias mitigation in AI systems.
