Gemini, Google’s new AI assistant, is expanding to various devices including Android phones, iPhones, and desktops, with upcoming integrations on Wear OS, smart speakers, and displays. Unlike the legacy Google Assistant, Gemini excels at processing complex spoken queries, making it ideal for smart speakers which rely solely on voice interaction. Some Nest Audio users have reported experiencing new Gemini-themed features, but many, including those in the Public Preview program, have yet to access these updates. Current Google Assistant struggles with intricate requests, often failing to provide useful responses, while Gemini aims to deliver coherent answers even for lengthy queries. Users hope for continued source attribution in responses, as Google transitions to this new voice assistant, supporting both existing and new hardware.
