Uspace Shifts Focus to AI Applications with New Tech Hub in Shenzhen

Uspace’s unit, Gang Hang Ke, is set to establish a new centre focusing on intelligent decision-making and AI-based processing of satellite remote sensing data, as disclosed in a recent Hong Kong stock exchange filing. This facility aims to enhance satellite-ground computing synergy and improve data analysis. Gang Hang Ke is recognized as a hi-tech enterprise specializing in R&D, sales, and services. Uspace, formerly known as the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group, achieved the milestone of launching 12 satellites in 2021 as part of the “Golden Bauhinia Constellation” project. The company’s latest venture indicates a commitment to operating over 100 satellites in the Greater Bay Area, with plans to produce and launch the remaining satellites by 2026. Notably, Uspace recently relocated its headquarters from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, signaling a strategic shift. This initiative aligns with trends in satellite technology and AI innovation, positioning Uspace as a crucial player in the aerospace sector.
