The Gemini model will operate on Apple’s private cloud servers, dedicated to complex tasks, while Apple’s proprietary models will handle personal data on devices. Apple is keen to downplay Google’s role in marketing. Although Apple has been slow in AI adoption, relying on external firms like OpenAI, it continues to maintain a robust financial standing, recently surpassing a $4 trillion market cap. Additionally, Apple’s longstanding partnership with Google, wherein the latter pays $20 billion yearly to be the default search engine, complicates the competitive landscape.
