As the first collaboration under OpenAI’s initiative for government use, the project will adhere to OpenAI’s usage guidelines. The defense sector is increasingly attracting interest from major tech firms, including Meta and Palantir, which specializes in AI for defense. Additionally, OpenAI has previously teamed up with defense tech startup Anduril Industries to create AI solutions for military missions, specifically enhancing defenses against drones.
