Google Gemini App Introduces Feature for Personal Video Analysis

This feature is accessible to both free and paid users on Android and iOS, but it is not yet available for web users. To use it, users upload video files by tapping the plus (+) button in the Gemini chat window; if the feature is enabled, they can select videos. After uploading, they can ask specific questions about the content. This expands upon the existing functionality that allowed questions about YouTube videos via links. However, it’s important to note that users cannot record videos directly within the app yet, as there is no update for the camera feature. Overall, this update reflects Google’s intent to transform Gemini into a more versatile tool beyond just chatbot interactions.
