At the recent Microsoft Ignite conference, Microsoft unveiled new and improved AI security agents designed to enhance cybersecurity. These AI agents, which are available free to Microsoft 365 E5 subscribers, are integrated within Microsoft’s various security and management portals, including Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Entra. As cyber threats evolve, Microsoft aims to help organizations shift from reactive to proactive security strategies by utilizing these advanced tools. Highlights include the Phishing Triage Agent, which autonomously manages phishing reports, and the Threat Intelligence Briefing agent that assesses risks and provides recommendations. Microsoft’s adaptive agents are designed to work alongside security teams to optimize policies, triage incidents, and maintain secure endpoints. This initiative reflects a broader AI-first strategy, integrating AI capabilities to close security vulnerabilities before hackers can exploit them. The new agents will benefit existing Security Copilot customers and will eventually be available to non-Copilot users with prior notice.
