Chemist Warehouse is expanding its AI-driven shared inbox automation, currently utilized in the HR department, to enhance efficiency across various internal functions. Developed in collaboration with Insurgence, the AI Human Resources Advisory (AIHRA) quickly addresses common inquiries from the retail giant’s 22,000 employees, acting as an “incubator” for broader implementation. During a Microsoft webinar, Insurgence’s Matteo Castiello noted the universal challenges faced by multiple teams, making AIHRA a versatile tool for shared inbox management. The initiative aims to reduce burnout among HR staff due to repetitive tasks, enhancing employee retention and work enjoyment. Head of People and Culture Advisory, Melissa Bear, highlighted the significant groundwork required to document essential knowledge, which informs AI responses. AIHRA scans the inbox every 30 seconds to draft replies, ensuring HR personnel can focus on critical responsibilities like coaching leaders and risk management. Overall, the project enhances HR service delivery and operational efficiency.
