Unlocking Innovation in Content Management: A Chat-Style Editor for Magento
Embarking on a bold challenge, I created a chat-style UI editor for Magento’s admin panel to enhance content editing. What began as a fun project evolved into a complex yet rewarding journey with key objectives:
- Simplicity First: Designed to allow users to only edit text content, ensuring an intuitive experience.
- Time Travel: Enable users to jump to different schema versions through chat history.
- Leverage Existing Assets: Integrates with Angular components, maximizing the value of current resources.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve open-sourced this project under the MIT License. Key features include:
- Angular Editor/Renderer for seamless editing and visualization.
- Magento CMS Plugin that enhances schema generation using OpenAI.
While there’s more to achieve, like improving extension points, this editor marks a significant milestone.
