Helmet Security Secures $9M Funding to Shield Enterprises from AI-Driven MCP Threats

Helmet Security, an agentic artificial intelligence security startup founded in 2021, has successfully raised $9 million in funding to enhance its innovative platform. This platform is designed to continuously discover, monitor, and enforce security controls on AI infrastructure, primarily focusing on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The MCP enables secure real-time communications between AI agents and enterprise systems. Helmet’s solution maps all MCP infrastructure, ensuring no server or communication channel goes unmanaged. It offers real-time monitoring to detect malicious activities, such as unauthorized data exfiltration and protocol-level attacks, that traditional security tools often overlook. Additionally, Helmet allows enterprises to establish governance and policy enforcement to manage communications and access privileges securely. The investment, backed by SYN Ventures and WhiteRabbit Ventures, aims to provide organizations with immediate visibility and control over MCP operations, simplifying security measures while fostering innovation. This positions Helmet Security as a leader in AI security.
