Google is reportedly developing a new feature akin to Samsung’s Now Bar, potentially called Gemini Space, to enhance the At a Glance experience on Pixel devices. This upgraded widget aims to provide users with real-time information directly on their lock screens, moving beyond just weather and calendar alerts to include live sports scores and market summaries. The feature was hinted at in a recent Android 16 Beta update, and it appears that it won’t be exclusive to the upcoming Pixel 10, as it has shown up in firmware for other models as well.
Code analysis from the Android System Intelligence app suggests direct support for showing finance recaps and sports updates. The addition of an “Ambience Hub” is another possibility for organizing useful information on the lock screen. While details remain speculative, the development reflects Google’s effort to make its lock screen smarter and more informative for users.
