BSE Launches AI Tool to Streamline IPO Document Verification for SMEs

admin

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has introduced a generative AI tool to expedite the vetting of SME IPO documents, which typically takes days or weeks. The new tool can reduce this process to 30–40 minutes. Merchant bankers will upload draft IPO documents into a designated folder, where the AI will scan for necessary corrections before final submission. BSE aims to enhance the SME listing experience with this pre-check mechanism, ensuring compliance prior to official filing. Since its launch, the BSE SME platform has listed approximately 600 companies, raising nearly Rs 9,500 crore, with a combined market value exceeding Rs 68,500 crore. The initiative has been positively received, with experts noting it represents a progressive shift in document processing for IPOs, while emphasizing that BSE’s final review remains necessary for official approval. This tool aims to streamline and improve the overall IPO filing experience for bankers.
