OpenAI’s ChatGPT has integrated a new shopping experience through the DoorDash app, allowing consumers to order groceries and get them delivered from local stores in as little as an hour. This feature is currently live for select users and will roll out to all customers shortly. Users can enable DoorDash within ChatGPT, request meal or recipe suggestions, and seamlessly shop for ingredients via the app. Andy Fang, DoorDash Co-Founder, highlighted the personalization and dynamic nature of this AI-driven shopping experience. Nick Turley, OpenAI’s VP of ChatGPT, emphasized that this integration represents a step toward connecting AI with real-world services, simplifying daily tasks. Additionally, Instacart has also launched its own grocery app within ChatGPT, paving the way for a new era of embedded shopping and checkout solutions. This advancement in AI technology enhances user interactions, making meal planning and grocery shopping more efficient and convenient.
