The Delhi Government is enhancing its technology-driven governance through a two-day Capacity Building Programme titled “Promoting AI in Governance.” Organized by the Planning Department in collaboration with NITI Aayog and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), this initiative targets improving efficiency and public service delivery using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Inaugurated at the India International Centre, the programme aligns with the vision of Viksit Delhi @2047, featuring participation from over two dozen officials across various departments. Azimul Haque, Secretary of the Planning Department, emphasized AI’s potential to enhance government service accessibility and response times. The program includes expert sessions led by GGSIPU faculty and AI practitioners, focusing on real-world AI applications in public administration and policy implementation. This strategic initiative represents a significant step towards leveraging emerging technologies for effective governance in Delhi, highlighting the importance of AI training in the modernization of government services.
