Industry 4.0 signifies the integration of advanced technologies like IoT, AI, and robotics into manufacturing, boosting productivity and innovation. ASUS is at the forefront, investing in smart manufacturing through its sub-brand ASUS IoT, launched in 2018. The brand focuses on creating AIoT solutions tailored for sectors such as manufacturing and healthcare. It has developed an AI-powered demonstration factory in New Taipei City to test and showcase these solutions.
The transition to smart factories involves six stages: computerization, connectivity, visibility, transparency, predictive capacity, and adaptability. ASUS IoT splits this journey into two phases: Smart Factory 1.0, focusing on automation and data collection, and Smart Factory 2.0, prioritizing AI integration and predictive analytics.
Innovative AI defect detection systems enhance production quality, reduce labor needs, and improve efficiency. Additionally, AR smart glasses facilitate real-time collaboration and information access, while AMR systems streamline material handling. ASUS IoT aims to advance the manufacturing sector’s digital transformation toward Industry 4.0.
