Allianz SE has partnered with AI firm Anthropic to enhance responsible artificial intelligence (AI) usage across its operations. This global collaboration focuses on three key projects aimed at improving efficiency in software development and claims processing. The first project will integrate Anthropic’s “Claude” models into Allianz’s internal AI platform, streamlining data access for employees. The second initiative aims to automate multi-step processes like documentation intake and claims management in motor and health insurance, significantly reducing manual tasks, expediting first payments, and enhancing customer experience while ensuring a “human-in-the-loop” approach for complex cases. Lastly, the partnership will develop AI systems to document decision-making processes, ensuring regulatory compliance. Allianz’s current AI applications include roadside assistance, automated claims for food spoilage due to power outages in Australia, and quicker processing of pet insurance claims in Germany. Additionally, Allianz is investing in training programs to enhance AI competencies within its workforce.
