Volvo is launching its new EX60 EV, aiming to revitalize its electric vehicle lineup after previous setbacks. With a gigacast frame and a high-density battery, the EX60 boasts impressive performance, including configurations offering up to 670 horsepower and a range of 400 miles. It’s equipped with advanced technology from NVIDIA and Qualcomm, and features Google’s Gemini AI for enhanced functionality. The SUV will be available in three trims, starting at approximately $60,000, and includes options such as an impressive 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system and integrated Apple Music.
Built on Volvo’s innovative SPA3 platform, the EX60’s battery pack allows for quick charging speeds of 320-370 kW, accommodating the NACS charging standard. Competing directly with BMW’s iX3 and Mercedes-Benz’s GLC, the EX60 is poised to attract families and tech-savvy consumers alike. The projected release this spring aims to strengthen Volvo’s position in the competitive EV market.
