A recent survey of 193 leaders in compliance, ethics, risk, and audit revealed that 90% of organizations utilizing AI have implemented generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude. Approximately 52% are leveraging agentic AI for task automation, while 51% employ large language models, and 42% use predictive analytics. Vincent Walden, CEO of konaAI, emphasized the growing importance of AI in streamlining tedious compliance processes. While 84% of leaders reported increased efficiency due to AI, challenges such as data quality (66%) and lack of expertise (54%) persist. Notably, nearly 30% of compliance teams haven’t adopted AI yet. Current trends indicate a push toward integrating AI in risk assessment and regulatory reporting, with nearly 80% of organizations planning AI deployment in tariff management. However, expectations suggest a reduction in AI use for certain tasks, like training, underscoring that AI may not suit all compliance endeavors where trust is crucial.
