Verizon has announced a significant overhaul of its customer support system, introducing a revamped My Verizon app featuring an AI-powered assistant based on Google’s Gemini and Cloud AI. This new chatbot is designed to assist users with tasks such as managing upgrades, resolving billing inquiries, and processing requests without needing human intervention for complex issues. The AI system aims to proactively solve problems, reducing the need for customers to reach out for support. Additionally, Verizon is expanding its live agent availability and introducing 24/7 chat support to accommodate various customer needs. The company has also opened nearly 400 new stores, ensuring that 93 percent of the U.S. population is within 30 minutes of a Verizon location for face-to-face support. To celebrate these updates, Verizon is offering 35,000 free prizes, including concert tickets and gift cards, as part of its summer rewards initiative for subscribers.
