Key industries utilizing AI agents include software and technology, manufacturing, and financial services. Despite their benefits, a significant concern arises from “shadow AI,” as 29% of employees use unsanctioned agents, potentially leading to data leaks. Microsoft emphasizes the need for robust governance and security frameworks based on Zero Trust principles to mitigate risks. Only 47% of organizations have implemented security measures for generative AI, indicating a critical oversight. To enhance management, companies should establish a registry of agents, enforce access controls, and promote interoperability and security measures.
