The Indian government is set to launch Bharat-VISTAAR (Virtually Integrated System to Access Agricultural Resources) on Tuesday, promoting AI’s role in agriculture. This innovative multilingual tool provides farmers with crucial information in their native languages, accessible via mobile phones and phone calls. Leveraging advanced AI capabilities, Bharat-VISTAAR aims to address farmers’ agricultural concerns by offering guidelines, advisory tips, and timely updates on weather and market conditions. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will inaugurate the platform. Bharat-VISTAAR operates 24/7, ensuring farmers have uninterrupted access to information. An AI assistant named Bharati is integrated into the system, along with a dedicated helpline, enhancing the support available to farmers. This initiative underscores the growing reliance on AI for enhancing agricultural productivity and decision-making in India, making it a vital resource for the farming community.
