Lighthouse Unveils Revolutionary AI-Driven Travel Planning Tool

Lighthouse, a travel and hospitality platform in the US, has launched Connect AI to connect hotels with AI travel planning tools. This initiative aims to facilitate hotel discovery and bookings by leveraging the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide real-time data on rates, availability, location, amenities, and reviews for large language models (LLMs) and AI agents. With over 300,000 properties monitored, Connect AI enhances hotel visibility, allowing for commission-free transactions. Juanjo Rodriguez, Lighthouse’s head of marketing, noted the accelerating trend of travelers using AI tools for trip planning, highlighting the importance for hotels to engage with AI platforms now rather than risk being left behind. Currently in an early access program for select hotel partners, Connect AI is set to expand and offers opportunities for hotels to increase their direct bookings through enhanced visibility.
